Youth Ministry Trinity Youth Group is open to middle and high school aged students. We meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 in the church Parish Hall for fellowship, fun and meaningful discussions. Meals are provided by the families of the youth members. All activities are focused on connecting students to Jesus Christ and to each other by growing in life skills, developing positive self-images and serving those in need. Trinity provides a safe environment where confidentiality is respected. Our confirmation program is Rite 13 and Journey to Adulthood. Our 6th and 7th grade students are engaged every other week in lessons that develop creativity, self-image and God’s Image in their lives as well as practical experience in how to use the Bible and Book of Common Prayer. A Rite 13 ceremony is held with support from parents and the congregation as teens move into the next phase of growth. Journey to Adulthood explore the Episcopal faith and how life issues provide opportunities to strengthen that faith. A discussion on sexuality as related to personal spirituality is handled with care and clergy support. Skills in decision making, listening, negotiations and leadership are practiced in local service projects such as collecting items for the needy and a parish pancake breakfast as well as the possibility of an out of country pilgrimage. All students are strongly encouraged and at times required to be present during church services as well as serving in roles during the liturgy such as acolytes, readers, greeters and ushers.Fun activities include, games, movie night, rock climbing, hiking and aerial parks.
